Understanding and getting started with Office 365 Video portal

Today, Microsoft released Office 365 Video portal on Office 365. See the official announcement here. Office 365 Video is a video portal solution, that allows users to consume, share and manage video content, a bit like YouTube. Videos are stored and viewed in SharePoint Online. It also handles metadata and search for videos. Technical delivery services, such as transcoding, thumbnails and secure streaming, is provided via Azure Media Services. September 17th of September | Intranet ja Digitaalinen Summit I’m hosting the Expert’s Panel in the afternoon with some very knowledgeable and great panelists. Join us for a good discussion and bring your questions with you! See… Read More »My upcoming talks and sessions

Working from home: Using a standing desk

On Spring 2013 I made the decision to consciously start working more often from home. One of the reasons for this was – obviously – the open office, which I felt was a productivity blocker for me. My commute isn’t that bad, after we moved our office to the heart of Helsinki, Finland. Typically it takes me anywhere between 12 to 20 minutes on public transport. Just long enough to be slightly irritating, and just short enough to not have time to read up on those articles I’ve been meaning to read. The pattern So, after having worked remotely for about 6 months a pattern emerged: I’d typically work with clients either from home, or on-site from Mondays to Wednesdays.… Read More »Working from home: Using a standing desk
